Fantastic stuff! Amazing work on the whole army. The Falchion has been weathered amazingly, and the colours on the cannon really pop. And all those squad markings!

How you have set the knight looks so imposing. Looks like he is massacring something!

Inspiring stuff and it's always good to see 2nd Ed pack markings.

The apothecaries makes we wonder which way Alan will go - back to Wolf Priests properly fulfilling both the chaplain and apothecary function, two separate units, or the dissatisfying lack of an apothecary function we have seen in more recent 40K SW codexes.

What are 2nd edition pack markings? My Wolves all have deep red shoulder pads, but I'm not sure what to do on them.

Scar, where do you photograph your mini's? I have a homemade lightbox, but are there particular ways to really bring out the grey in the photos of the Wolves (like you've done)?

The first Codex Space Wolves was published in 1994 for Warhammer 40,000 Second Edition.

It was the first publication to lay out the markings for various types of pack: yellow and black for Wolf Guard, red and black for Grey Hunters, red and yellow for Blood Claws, black and white for Long Fangs, and red and white for Wolf Scouts. Most markings are variations on claw marks, but there are also geometric designs.

Visions of Heresy and the old card game suggest that Great Company symbols are red on a grey background rather the black and yellow of Ragnar's c.40K Great Company, for example. However, the white Great Wolf on black maybe a throw back to the Wolf King's marking.

First of all thanks everyone! :)

Then to the question:

I printed out a backdrop design on a A3 paper that i just put on my workspace put the models on that and then fix the daylight lights on them and take pictures.
Balance out the colors a bit on photoshop so they are correct again and resize the pictures.

But lights are your worst enemy but also your best friend.

Make sure you have a daylight lamp else the colors will be way off and you get to much yellow or red in there.
This is hard to correct properly in photoshop.

My first pictures looked like this haha:

Its was a nice process to the way i take my pictures now.
This was taken in a lightbox mid day with not to much sun shine.
Added some white a4 paper in the back of the guy.

But daylight lamp is the best way to go imho.

Hope it helps!

I just saw this:

and went straight to you thread for inspiration. I sold all my 40k wolves because of the whole thunderwolf cav thing, but now I feel the legion calling again. I'm just gonna figure out a way to manage buying stuff for another legion on top of my WBs and my Mech.

Your guys are fantastic. A real inspiration.
