Hah! It's likely I'll hold on to it and sell off my other more recent Shadowsword. Don't really need two, after all..

Mate.....you can always have more than one.

Tanks are like women: You need at least two so when you leave them alone they dont get bored.

Agree, keep in mind that tanks/tank cannons follow the same rules as normal guns "Double the gun, double the fun"

If it´s not hard then you´re hardly having fun.

Why let Heresy get in the way of a good crusade?

Hah! I don't really play apocalypse-style games, but for some reason I have four superheavy tanks (two shadowswords, a stormhammer, and a malcador) and an entire knight household in the wings. Riiiiiight.

Pressed on with the veterans, and got the steel, blue and the first basecoat for the leather/bone on. Getting the color on the base really helps 'em start to pop!

Not sure whether to do jade scarabs on the shoulder pads, or do them in white to match the other pad. I sort of fear that may be a bit unbalancing, color-wise - though there will be a little bit of jade green here and there on the various gems, and definitely on the chest-pieces of the sergeants. Thoughts?

Awesome work man! Personally I'd stick with white for the scarabs but jade could work :)

I'm gonna have to say white on the shoulders, you're right about the unbalancing.

Some day I need you to show me how you're painting those blades.  I've tried the glow effect but with only lackluster results.

It's 99% liquid talent, honestly. I paint the blade with vallejo ice blue, give it a relatively heavy guilliman blue wash, then when dry hit the uppermost edges with ice blue again. Easy peasy!

Wow.  I've tried that, but never gotten that kind of result.  I've never tried it with Vallejo Ice Blue though, so I'll have to pick some up.

Assault squads built! Went with the feathered scourge wings this go-around - good call, folks! Really dig how they turned out, and they work well as a nod to the previous incarnation that used the sanguinary guard wings!
