Well I can't believe I'm starting this but here is my space wolf thread. I want to start now with different schemes so by the time the models are released I will have a scheme down. I think I am actually nose excited for SW characters.

Here's my first scheme let me know what you think. Possibly foo dark? And anything to add? I've never painted gray before

Hope you like 31770CFA-F7F6-49BF-98BA-7FEE89F84E0A_zps

Space Wolves - what a blast from the past!! Your marines shade looks good for the heresy era. I did not know that FW were about to give the SW'S some attention. Could be some cool bits in there to kit bash with.

Thanks guys, i think the last pic is the best those are with the last washes. I realized i bought the wrong weathering powders.  The difficult thing about doing SW now is i have no idea what schemes they will have have. No idea what to do the shoulder pads and who knows when the book is coming out

Check out the pads Ben has done, over at mastercrafted.co.uk

This is what I'll be using for my wolves. Fits with the BL artwork.

Nice find Mike!!! Those are perfect I think I will pick those up and keep them gray

For Prospero to burn..... I need a feel as to what Prospero May have looked like. I am searching for bases for my wolves and ideas as to what Prospero or Tisca was like?

Thanks!

I went for old town Tisca. From what I got from the books, it's kind of like how I imagine Cairo to have been back when we first started thieving artefacts for British museums :) think Indiana Jones market, but pretty.

Heres my contempt order base....

As you can see, I started it and lost interest. It's still sitting there in the same state. I'll finish it at some point.

Do a search for desert bases, but pretty much any base in a sandstone or desert scheme will do. You could also mix and match to give yourself a bit of variation.

Weathering with sand and dust effect on grey is also very effective.

The above image is from the weathering magazine by Ammo (mig Jimenez). The dust edition. Very much, worth a read. You can get it electrical copy, for iPad/tablet or paper copy from his website.

I'll try to get his magazine not in Spanish this time.... I want to do bases similar to yours but more of a flagstone or grey brick type scheme I think

Ok here is another rough scheme (based on mikes) The grey metal is pretty close to what I want I like the brass and red too just working on washes and the type of of weathering I want. Let me know what you think! Thanks guys!! Any suggestions especially on weathering are welcomed. I've been reading migs magazine and just keep trying things out.
