so starts my warlord blog, been talking about getting it since its unveil, and finally took possession of mine at the FW open day on sunday.
the body, comes in the two large red boxes, one box contains all the large parts which don't need (or fit into) the bags, its all bubble wrapped very well. each of the other parts comes in their own white box, interestingly the boxes are plain, with item info on stickers, so FW might be planning to use these boxes for packaging other products (more fuel for the rumour mill of FW in GW stores).
and in case your wondering, mine is number 37
started washing it all today, got today and tomorrow off, so hoping to get all the cleaning and preliminary work done before i go back to work.
above is the first box with all the large bits, just about fits into the larger tub. little one has the two volcano cannons in it, the second red box and the multi-laser turrets are being done after these (not enough tubs).
below is the multi-laser turrets in their bags. as you can see, not that many parts, but their very big parts none the less.
below is one of the bagged parts of the warlord, contains most of the smaller armor plates, interestingly the knee and thigh armour are a single piece.
instruction booklets for the warlord are great, follow the same style as the knight warden kit (to my understanding, haven't actually seen it).
follows more like a lego kit than a forge world one "here's a picture of a completed kit, make it look like that".
plan is to build the guns, legs and torso separately, with all the armour plating left off. then paint the bitch, then finish building it, which is the same method i used for my knights. also planning to paint it the same scheme as my knight household (red armour, gold trim with bone coloured plates to break it up).
