Be sure to throw a picture of the models up on the website BEFORE you start painting them ;-)

The first completed inspection is up and looking pretty. Nice choice of colours! Although it is not required in anything other than the first "pre-painted" pic, I like the variation in the "blue" items included.

Nice work! I was watching them come together on a couple of FB pages as well as the website. Awesome choice of colours, a very distinct change from the darker colours most people use for Mechanicum, very Borderlands.

There are only a few days left for the first inspection. Three entries are completed, and one to go (unless someone new gets a quick entry in!)

Well I appear to be having major issues with my primer at the moment. Even after several cleans, thin coats and sufficient curing time, my primer keeps peeling. Getting my inspection finished is looking bleak :(

I forgot to ask... When does the inspection end? I am in the UK so I assume it is midnight my time on Tuesday yes?

Relentless; yes effectively midnight in your location. Pretty much when I get up Wednesday morning I will be locking the Inspection 1 records.

If you dont make it for the Inspections, they can still count towards the general Mustering, good luck with the primer!

@ Relentless, have you given the minis a good scrub with that toothbrush of yours in some warm soapy water? If the primer is not adhering to the resin/plastic, there is something between the resin and the paint. This is most likely the mould release agent which can be a bugger to remove. Nice blue glove by the way :)

Trust me the cleaning is not the issue. They have all been soaked and scrubbed 3 times now!

I think it's the primer (vallejio polyurethane) or I was watching somewhere that the type of airbrush could be the cause due to overspray?

Either way after about 5 layers of acrylic and a gloss varnish it seems solid. I have some Mr.surfacer 1500 on order (lacquer based rath than acrylic) so will be hiving that a go I think.

Thanks for the tip though

Planning on painting a banner or standard in the coming weeks?
Even some insignia on a tank or walker?
This months Inspection (mini painting competition) over on AUS30K.com is themed on the Heraldry of War!
Have a look at the Inspection page and lodge your entry, the winner of this months theme gets a Secret Weapon gift voucher.

About a third of the way into the month, only a couple of entries so far. Would love to see more banners and standards entered into the competition!

Just posted up a PACT for my Sons of Horus that are getting a lick o' paint from Titan Mini commission painting. Hoping to have them back in time for the Ortius Cloud event in Parramatta at the start of August.

Lupercal!
