The new Caladius actually helps identify the weapon art on the Custodes Siege DreadnoughtThatIsntASiegeDreadnought. Love the more aggressive look on the turret.

Is this Mark Bedfords army again? His Custodes style is a lot grittier than most.

agree with the custodes heavy dread having some form of blaze cannon (probably a not twin linked one of these)

its not marks army, this is one of the 'studio's' collection, which is stuff that's painted up exclusively for the website, photo art, and display.

mark's army is a pale gold, and shiny red sections (copied my red panels from his style)

It's a similar look but you're right it's definitely different

On a separate note, how has Mark done that red? I am going to make a start on my army this week and was thinking of painting it a normal red then glaze it with Blood for the blood god after?

He adds clear blue to the edges to give it definition sometimes before the red goes on

Clear red over gold mate.

That simple? Do you know what kind of clear red he uses?

The FW Angron Red is fine, and is probably what he used there. It ends up with a very gloss coat like that. The FW clears are excellent in general, and behave a lot like the Tamiya clears. The FW paints are actually a little safer, as they don't contain certain alcohols that are not so great to inhale.

If you do want to try applying clears over metallics via brush, just remember to build it up as very many thin layers. Airbrush will save you a lot of time and apply much smoother, though, but also requires masking. And an airbrush.
