Okay, that´s good. Sainsbury isn´t exactly in my reach since I live in Germany haha.. but I will try it with this Vallejo gloss varnish!

Excellent weathering. Simple but very effective.

How did you go about magnetising the arms on the Knight?

Apologies this has taken a LOT longer than expected!  (got sucked into WW2 Germany for a couple of weeks).

For the stubber/melta I've used 3mm magnets, one drilled into the weapon mount post and the other one just slotted into the hole under the knight's carapace:

For the arms, I've mounted 8mm magnets to the ends of the 'shoulder' pieces (I had to saw off the attachments for the lower arms).  They're not counter-sunk in any way, just scratched up the surface of the plastic a bit and used a decent amount of superglue.

The other side was loads easier, since the hole is more or less 8mm anyway I just filled the void in the lower arm with some green stuff and stuffed a magnet on top, didn't even need to glue it as the fit is really tight, so tight in fact I used a knife to bevel the edges so the two magnets can touch easier.

Carapace was almost too easy, same 3mm magnets as the stubber/melta. Drilled out a hole in the top and a corresponding one in the bottom of each of the guns.  Made sure to varnish the absolute shit out of the carapace magnet, don't want the paint wearing off and leaving behind a big silver circle on my dirty knight!
